Microsoft JUST announced that, starting August 18th, they will no longer ship the 360 with the HD-DVD player, instead they will be bundled with a Blu-Ray player, all systems will cost 75$ more.They also announced that people with a 360 can send it in and have the HD-DVD player replaced for Blu-Ray for an extra charge of 50$. Lite-On IT is developing built-in Blu-ray Disc-(BD) ROM drives for the Microsoft Xbox 360 game console, according to industry sources. Lite-On declined to comment, citing client confidentiality. Lite-On’s shipments of the BD ROMs to Microsoft will start in the second half of 2008, the sources added.
